Breaking Webhook changes

We’ve been working on making webhooks even better, and we’re excited to share the latest updates with you.

What’s New?

  1. User friendly URLs: The new webhook URLs are super easy to use.
  2. Custom Instructions (Coming Soon): You’ll soon be able to add your own instructions for each webhook, making them way more flexible.

Important Change:

To bring you these cool new features, we need to clear out all the old webhooks. Yep, that means you’ll need to set them up again with the new URLs.

What You Need to Do:

  • Wait a few hours: The update process is starting soon and should finish in a few hours
  • Re-setup Your Webhooks: Create new webhook URLs and quickly replace the old URL in the external system with the new ones, you’ll be good to go.

We know it’s a bit of a hassle, but we promise the new features will make it worth it. If you have any questions or need help, our support team is here for you!

Excited for custom instructions!

You already have custom instructions, but they are all in one place — so one set of instructions that apply to all the incoming channels (inbox emails and each of the webhooks). So you have to write those instructions along the lines of:
“If this is an email, then …
If this comes from Trello, then…
If this comes from the Field Service AppSheet app, then …”
Just more confusing and more opportunity for bleed between instructions. By having specific per-webhook instructions (coming in a few days), it makes things simpler. @tony FYI

Are these instructions you’re referencing the instructions baked into the Plan Details Steps?

I was able to configure the Plan Details to have the AI interact with my appsheet ai tools :+1:
