Thunk.AI Update for November 2024
Welcome to the November 2024 update for Thunk.AI! In this release, we’re excited to introduce several new features and improvements designed to enhance your experience and productivity. From a revamped step layout to additional tools and modules, we’ve focused on making Thunk.AI more intuitive and powerful than ever before. Let’s dive into what’s new.
Features
This section describes additional features that have been added and improved.
New Step Layout
There is a new step detail layout. Previously the step layout consisted of three columns that contained the step instructions and inputs, the step outputs, and the assistant chat window from left to right. The new layout moves the output columns to the left so it’s easy to focus on the results of the step. The center column can be used to optionally dig into the assistant instructions and inputs for the step.
Improved Assistant Chat Details
When your assistant runs, details of the execution are tracked and available to see how the assistant performed, what steps were taken, and see information returned from tools. There is a new more clear layout for these details.
There is now a hierarchy of actions so you can clearly see sub-step details. The typical flow shows the instructions given to your assistant, the AI assistant planning, one or more actions, and a conclusion.
For any of these, if there is more detail to see a …show button is available that will expand out more details.
Consistent Details for Columns and AI Formula Value Details
There is now a single view for the values of both columns and AI formulas. This new dialog is a similar layout as the new step details view with the column value on the left, column properties in the middle, and details on how the value was computed on the right.
Ability to Manually Route to a New Entry
In the inbox, messages from email or webhooks can arrive and be routed to existing or new entries based on instructions provided to your assistant. Previously, it was possible to ask the assistant to retry routing and to manually route to an existing entry. Now it’s possible to route to a new row by selecting Manually Route and scroll to the end of the entry list and choose Add New Entry.
More Tools and Modules
Last month we introduced modules which are collections of tools bundled together. This month more tools and modules have been added.
You can see the modules by navigating in the UI to My Account settings (user icon in the upper right corner → My Account) and select Application Modules.
There is a new module and tool for creating documents from a template.
Module Import and Export
It is now possible to share user modules between users and Thunks. In a Thunk, under AI Settings->AI Tools, you can create AI tools to interact with external systems. Here is an example set of tools for interacting with Github.
Now you are able to export these tools as a module and import them into other Thunks.
In the Export tab you can select the checkbox to export a module, give the module a name and optional description, and then select which tools should be exported.
Feedback on Assistant Results
We have added the ability to provide us feedback on the accuracy of the assistant results inline in the user experience. Any time you are in a Value Detail view, there are feedback buttons in the lower right corner of the dialog.
Clicking the thumbs up or down buttons brings up a dialog that allows you to provide details about the result. Once recorded, this feedback is still available if you click on the thumbs up or down again and can be modified. This can be used by Thunk owners to monitor and improve AI instructions and will be reviewed by Thunk.AI to improve the product.
