Connecting to MCP servers -- more than 3000+ applications now accessible

The support for MCP connections is now live for all users.

All connections now start with choosing the application category:

You then get to choose a specific application in the category:

Then you describe how to connect to it — primarily via MCP (but you can also do a REST API or SQL DB connection if needed)

Native MCP connections are suitable when connecting to SaaS services that offer MCP servers natively. There is a growing number of these, and by the midpoint of 2026, we expect most popular SaaS applications to be in this category. However, there are thousands of other SaaS applications and you can connect to any of them via Pipedream MCP. Pipedream is a third-party service that Thunk.AI connects to. It acts as an intermediary, letting you sign in and connect to more than 3000+ applications, but exposing that connection like an MCP service for Thunk.AI to use in AI agentic automation.
