"Time limit reached" Error

Hello! Thunk got stuck at a workflow step due to “reaching a time limit” – please see screenshot! (FYI, I couldn’t find the option to share the step with you – not sure if it would bring you to that instance of running that step – would it? – and I reran the step.)

You might be able to see it in the history – see record Journal of the International Olympic Academy 9ad71c75_THUNKTEST in the Thunk “EBSCO Title Search v3”

Thanks @Rachel , taking a look now.

@Rachel hmm I’m looking at this page Thunk but I don’t see any log of the work that happened. Is that the right place?

Maybe because I reran it? Well I now know how to acquire the StepId – would having that have let you see the step details even though the log was cleared?

Hmm right now we have a limitation where the log is cleared if the step is restarted. So usually the best way to report a bug is to link to the step, without clearing it.

We’re working towards making it so you can hold on to an old log, even after restarting.

So weird - it seems not to clear out consistently. Like, sometimes we see stuff from August, and other times it’s all gone

Can you say more about it not clearing out consistently? You mean when you look at the table view of your workflow instances it’s sometimes all gone?

Like the AI Execution history – we could see August up until a few weeks ago, even though we had been rerunning the steps/checking the checkbox that says it’ll clear out all history. (We didn’t want to clear out all history by checking the checkbox, but we did want to rerun the workflow for all records, so that’s why we checked it off)

Hmm if you can provide a screenshot and/or link that would be helpful (okay if you want to DM or email it)

Hi @tony - a link to what?

I think I understand now. You’re saying that when you restart a step…

  • earlier: only some of the chat messages would be cleared
  • now: all of the chat messages are cleared

Is that what you mean?
